Course Description

Seattle has a long history of P-Patch community gardens that have been places for communities to gather and grow together. In this studio students were challenged to create a community gardening center that mixed pre-school students, senior citizens, and gardeners. Students worked in one of three underutilized parks in Seattle, East Montlake Park, Judkins Park, or Beacon Hill Food Forest, imagining these spaces as vibrant community resources.
