Course Description

The studio program was developed from the Water Studies Center, modified to emphasize a research component of water testing and a stronger public educational component exploring future challenges of sustainability, power, and the city’s relationship to the water. The studio explored how the notion of water in the project’s purpose, and its proximity to the water itself being on Pier 48, could generate specific and unique ideas for a design parti.
