Tine Sommer

Tine Sommer

Tine Sommer is a postdoctoral scholar in the Department of Architecture, funded by a two-year grant from the Independent Research Fund Denmark. Her research explores affect, atmosphere, and modernity in everyday American literature and architecture. Tine is especially interested in the architectural and cultural history of single-family houses and their representation in interwar “middlebrow” literature. Tine holds a Ph.D. in English from the University of Southern Denmark as well as a degree in structural engineering.
