UW Department of Architecture Lecture Series

The Department of Architecture sponsors a quarterly lecture series with invited lecturers from all over the world. All department lectures will be held at 6pm in Architecture Hall, Room 147.  AIA Continuing Education and AXP credits are available for attendance.

Erling Christoffersen, Associate Professor, Danish International School, Distinguished Visiting Professor, UW

A renowned furniture designer and instructor, Christoffersen shows how a building designer’s overall effectiveness expands through the engagement of the materials, construction and prototyping used in the design of furniture.

Steven Holl, Principal, Steven Holl Architects
The acclaimed architect reflects on the ideas and influence of UW architecture professor Astra Zarina, founder of the UW Rome Center. The Holl-designed Bellevue Arts Museum will also be hosting a special event on May 26 showcasing his continuing exhibition, Making Architecture.
