The Department of Architecture is committed to reflecting the diversity of the city of Seattle and Puget Sound region—which today provides a truly global setting for our program. In this effort, we are dedicated to reflect this diversity in our student body as well as in the composition of our faculty. We are also attentive to the many constituencies that have a major impact on our identity as a Department—which include our Professionals Advisory Council (PAC), alumni, and donors. These relationships reflect the strong connection we have as a Department with the Seattle architectural community as well as the community at large. Our students regularly benefit from this relationship through formal and informal participation in our program, including design reviews, visits to local firms and direct collaborations with design studios and other courses. There are also a number of annual events that create strong ties with our alumni, friends, and professionals, such as the Alumni Happy Hour, Headlines Exhibit and End of Year Show.
