David Miller

Professor Emeritus

Professor Miller teaches graduate design studios and graduate courses in Structural Architecture and Architectural Systems Integration. He is a founding partner with the Miller/Hull Partnership, Architecture and Planning in Seattle and San Diego. Miller/Hull has received over 200 design awards including the 2003 National AIA Firm Award.

David Miller is a Fellow in the American Institute of Architects. In 2010 he received the Seattle AIA Chapter Gold Medal. Professor Miller has lectured at over 20 Universities in the United States and abroad and has been the Pietro Belluschi Distinguished Professor in Architecture at the University of Oregon and the KEA Distinguished Visiting Professor at the University of Maryland. Miller has directed the Architecture in Rome Program on five occasions and the Mexico City Program in 2013. Professor Miller’s book, ‘Towards a New Regionalism: The Environmental Architecture of the Pacific Northwest, was published in 2005 with the University of Washington Press.
