Take the time to develop technical skills:

Students can enroll in online classes offered by Lynda.com.  A Seattle Public Library card provides free access.  https://www.spl.org/online-resources/online-learning

Software tools identified as valued by design offices are: Revit, Enscape (a rendering plug-in for Revit), Rhino and Grasshopper.

Take care of your mind and body:

Cultivate your creativity:

Students can join a sketching group like Urban Sketchers.

Gage Academy will be resuming its free Drink + Draw event which takes place every 2nd and 4th Thursday.  “Whether you’re a practicing artist, an expert doodler, a Capitol Hill Art Walk devotee, or someone just looking to start a new creative hobby, pencil yourself in for a night of delicious drinking and drawing.  Free art supplies sponsored by BLICK; a live model; and a knowledgeable host from Gage Academy of Art.”  https://www.gageacademy.org/gage-events-calendar/

Graduates of accredited schools of architecture may receive complimentary membership with the AIA at the Associate level for up to 18 months after graduation. Non-NAAB degree holders or individuals enrolled in an AXP Program Working under an Architect’s Supervision may also be eligible for up to 18 months complimentary membership.”
