As a practicing licensed architect in Seattle, Maaike has a passion for design, technology, and teaching. She brings her 20+ years of experience in designing, coordinating, detailing, and documenting projects to her UW students and is able to give real-world examples to learn from. Having a foot in both worlds – practice and academia – is what helps her to thrive and continue learning. The practical experience improves the teaching, and vice versa.
