Lecturer
Myer is a trusted industry leader in high performance design, drawing on teaching, research, and volunteer service to inspire commercial design practice. He is a Sr. Regenerative Design Advisor and Sr. Project Manager at Perkins&Will Seattle, where his current practice areas include science and technology, commercial office, and multifamily housing.
As part-time lecturer at UW Architecture since 2010, he has co-instructed undergraduate and graduate studios, taught graduate seminars, and has served as a guest lecturer and studio critic. His teaching areas of focus include Integrated Building Systems and Integrated Design, and his research areas of focus include high-performance building, biophilia, mass timber, and building-integrated agriculture.
Myer was recognized with the 2021 AIA Young Architects Award, was named the AIA Seattle Young Architect in 2011, and served on the AIA Seattle Board of Directors from 2016 to 2023 including a term as board president. His past service includes the AIA Continuing Education Committee, USGBC Greenbuild Program Working Group, the USGBC Education Events Committee, and the Cascadia Green Building Council Board of Directors.
Myer earned a Bachelor of Science in Architecture at the University of Maryland and a Master in Architecture and Commercial Real Estate Certificate from the University of Washington.
